Digital Design & Marketing Coordinator

 

**Job Summary:**

The Robert Menzies Institute is seeking a versatile and creative individual to join our team in capacity as a Digital Design and Marketing Coordinator. This role will primarily involve designing digital content using tools like Canva and managing email campaigns through Mailchimp. Additionally, you will provide support during events, including photography and videography duties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both our digital presence and live events.

 **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Designing engaging and visually appealing digital content such as social media graphics, email templates, digital banners, and presentations using Canva.

  • Creating and managing email campaigns, newsletters, and marketing automation workflows using Mailchimp.

  • Supporting event planning and execution, including setup, logistics, and on-site assistance.

  • Capturing high-quality photos and videos during events for promotional and archival purposes.

  • Editing and post-processing photos and videos to meet brand and content standards.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital and event materials.

  • Assisting in maintaining and updating the website, digital assets and content libraries.

 **Requirements:**

  • A passion for Australian political history!

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva.

  • Experience in managing email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or similar.

  • Basic knowledge of photography and videography techniques, with experience using DSLR cameras and video editing software.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage simultaneous projects.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, during events.

  • A creative portfolio showcasing previous digital design work and photography/videography projects is preferred.

  • A positive, collaborative attitude to work as part of a small team.
